Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups pecan halves Fresh pecans add crunch and flavor.
  • 1 9-inch pre-made pie crust Choose your favorite crust for convenience or from scratch.
  • 0.75 cups granulated sugar Sweetens the filling perfectly.
  • 0.25 cups light corn syrup Provides moisture and richness.
  • 0.25 cups unsalted butter, melted Enhances flavor and texture.
  • 2 large eggs Binds the filling together beautifully.
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract Adds depth of flavor.
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt Balances sweetness and enhances other flavors.
  • 0.5 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips Creates a delicious chocolate layer.
  • 0.25 cups heavy cream Gives a creamy consistency to the chocolate layer.

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Take your pie crust and place it into a 9-inch pie pan, crimping the edges as desired to create an appealing finish.
  2. Evenly spread the pecan halves in the bottom of your prepared pie crust.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the granulated sugar, light corn syrup, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk these ingredients together until smooth and well blended before pouring over the pecans.
  4. In a small microwave-safe bowl, mix together semi-sweet chocolate chips and heavy cream. Heat in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each session until smooth and melted.
  5. Drizzle the melted chocolate over your pecan filling evenly. Use a knife or spoon to gently swirl through both layers for a beautiful marbled effect.
  6. Place your pie in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 50-60 minutes until set but slightly jiggly in the center.
