Ingredients

  • 1 cup Strawberries Wash and cut into bite-sized pieces.
  • 1 cup Green Grapes Wash and halve them.
  • 1 cup Red Grapes Wash and halve them.
  • 1 cup Blueberries Wash them thoroughly.
  • 1 unit Apple Wash, core, peel, and dice it.
  • 1 unit Banana Peel and slice it just before serving.
  • ¼ cup Pecans Chop them for added crunch.
  • 1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt Adds creaminess to the salad.
  • 1 - 2 tbsp Honey Adjust for sweetness preference.
  • ½ tsp Vanilla Extract For enhanced flavor.
  • ½ tsp Almond Extract Adds a nutty aroma to the dressing.

Method

  1. Combine the Fruits: Start by combining all of the prepared fruit in a large mixing bowl. Ensure that you mix gently so that the fruits remain intact and don’t get mushy. If you plan on preparing this salad in advance, remember to hold off on adding the banana until just before serving to keep it fresh.
  2. Prepare the Yogurt Dressing: In a separate small mixing bowl, combine the plain Greek yogurt, honey, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Whisk these ingredients together until smooth and creamy, creating a luscious dressing that complements the fruit perfectly.
  3. Mix Everything Together: Gently fold the yogurt dressing into the bowl of mixed fruits until all pieces are well-coated without breaking them apart. The creamy dressing should lightly hug each piece of fruit, enhancing their natural sweetness.
  4. Add Toppings and Serve: Finally, sprinkle the chopped pecans over the top of your fruit salad for an added crunch and nutty flavor contrast. Serve immediately in individual bowls or as part of a larger breakfast spread.
