Ingredients

  • 1-1.25 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs or chicken breast Opt for thighs for juiciness or breasts for leaner meat.
  • 2/3 cup teriyaki sauce Use your favorite store-bought variety or homemade for the best flavor.
  • Chopped scallions Optional for garnish to add freshness and color.
  • Sesame seeds Optional for garnish to enhance both appearance and crunch.

Method

  1. Pat the chicken dry with a clean paper towel, then cut it into 1-1.5 inch cubes.
  2. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the chicken cubes and toss until they are well-coated. Cover the bowl and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 1 hour in the refrigerator if marinating longer.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F and spray the basket with non-aerosol cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  4. Add the marinated chicken to the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they have enough space around them for even cooking. Cook for about 12-15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. Once fully cooked, carefully remove the chicken from the air fryer and serve immediately. Garnish with chopped scallions and sesame seeds if desired.
