Ingredients

  • 2 cups Fresh Broccoli Florets Cut into small pieces for even cooking.
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese Choose sharp cheddar for a more robust flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
  • 1 large Egg Acts as a binder to hold everything together.

Method

  1. Start by steaming the fresh broccoli florets until they are tender but still bright green, about 3-5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the steamed broccoli, shredded cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, and beaten egg. Stir until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Scoop out small portions of the mixture and form them into bite-sized balls or patties using your hands.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  5. Arrange the formed poppers in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for approximately 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
  6. Once done, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
